Content Description

There are nine albums in total and eight artifacts. The events within the albums were documented by my mother-in-law, Betty Johnson. She collaborated closely with her mother-in-law, Ruth Johnson, who went by the name of ‘Go-Go,’ as you will see on most of the album covers. Together, they carefully documented the events within the albums. The photos in question span a significant period, ranging from 1875 to 1982. They primarily focus on Andrew Elof Johnson, born on January 23, 1857, in Sweden, and who passed away on May 1, 1937, in Grand Junction, Colorado, at the age of 80. He married Anna May Edwards, and together they had five children: Edna May, Clara Crystal, Earl Osgood, C. Waite, and Edwin Andrew. (I will attach a copy of a genealogy document that provides more detailed information.)   Edwin Andrew, one of the sons, was born in Sopris, Colorado in 1897, and died in 1960. Ruth was born in Canyon City, Colorado, in 1898, and passed away in 1982. Edwin later married Ruth Emily Spangler (Go-Go) in Greely, Colorado, in 1917, and they had two sons. One of their sons, William (Bill) Johnson, was my father-in-law, married to Betty A. (Boland) Johnson. Betty is the one responsible for working with Go-Go and documenting the aforementioned photos.
