This photograph was taken in 1904 by John "Peg-Leg" Foster. Pandora was the center of milling for the district and processed primarily gold and silver until WWII when it processed lead and zinc for the war effort. The mill pictured, now known as Pandora mill, was owned by the Smuggler Union Company until it was destroyed in a fire and replaced in 1920.
